Mozello Update: Fundamentally More Powerful
The year is coming to an end, and as usual, a new Mozello update roundup is here. Last year brought significant improvements in design functionality, which you can read about here.
This year, the Mozello team focused mainly on popular e-commerce features and improvements requested by our customers. However, we also managed to enhance and expand other aspects of Mozello.
Read on to discover the most important Mozello updates and improvements introduced this year, as well as those we are still working on and planning for the future.
More efficient and personalized e-commerce
This year has brought numerous valuable additions for online store owners. Rather than expanding broadly, we've focused on developing and enhancing existing fundamental e-commerce features that are crucial for sales.
Product variants taken to the next level! Completely revamped variant creation and editing system
You now have access to a brand-new, user-friendly, and more intuitive product options and variants editor. Additionally, it has received long-awaited functionality upgrades that will not only make your store look more professional and modern but also help your customers better explore the variants of your products.
Individual variant images
Now, you can add unique images to each product variant, which will automatically change in the product view when the customer selects the corresponding variant. This enhancement will definitely improve the customer shopping experience.
For example: If you sell carpets in green, red, and blue, you can add an image of the product in each respective color. When the customer selects a variant while shopping, they will automatically see the images specific to that variant.
New ways to display options
Previously, Mozello only offered product variants and options as a dropdown list. However, now you can choose the type of options menu from three possibilities:
- Dropdown list (recommended if there are many variants)
- Buttons (recommended if there are few variants, 2-4)
- Color palette that allows each variant to be visually represented by its own color (recommended if a product comes in multiple colors)
This allows you not only to highlight product variants more attractively but also to display them more clearly to customers. For example, if there are only a few variants or the product is available in different colors, it will be easier and more intuitive for the customer to select and view their preferred product variant.
Ability to create delivery method groups
Now, on the Mozello platform, you can differentiate all possible delivery methods by creating delivery method groups.
What does this mean?
For example, if you have large, fragile, or otherwise unique products that can only be delivered through specific methods, you can create a delivery method group.
By creating a delivery method group, you can differentiate based on any criteria you choose, including only those delivery methods that are available for specific products.
Ability to specify payment methods for delivery types
Now, you can specify available payment methods for each delivery type individually — card payment (POS) or cash on delivery. For example, you can offer your customers the option to pay by card when they receive their item at a parcel locker or to pay the courier by card or cash upon delivery.
Related products
As we know, one of the strategies to boost sales is to offer related products to customers who are already viewing and considering purchasing an item. These could be products that complement each other, are similar, or are from the same collection.
Now, on the Mozello platform, you can assign one or more related products to each store product. This can help customers discover new products in your store or purchase something additional that might interest them. Currently, related products need to be set manually for each store item; however, we plan to introduce some automation in the future.
Provide new and modern payment options to your customers
This is particularly great news for those who want to keep up with e-commerce trends and customer payment habits.
Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are now available
Stripe, Swedbank, and SEB payment platforms now support Apple Pay and Google Pay, which have become very popular payment methods, especially among people shopping via mobile devices.
In addition, the new Stripe integration now also supports all major European and global payment systems (e.g., Alipay, Bancontact, EPS, giropay, iDEAL, Przelewy24, and others).
Integration with the ESTO platform
The ESTO platform has become a very popular payment method as it provides not only payment processing but also automatic crediting.
Integration with the Klarna platform
Klarna has become one of the largest and most popular payment and credit platforms globally, allowing customers to pay in a very convenient and flexible manner.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that with Klarna and Klix platform integrations, you can display monthly payments and a leasing calculator in the product and cart views.
New integrations and enhanced functionality
In addition to the previously mentioned Mozello updates, we'd like to highlight a few more improvements and integrations.
New integrations
- Integration with the Swotzy delivery platform. Swotzy allows you to use all parcel locker systems in the Baltics with a single contract/integration and ship your products to any destination worldwide. Learn more
- Integration with the international parcel locker network Unisend (formerly LP Express). Unisend is a parcel locker network that covers all of Latvia and connects with other Baltic countries.
- Integration with the comparison portals Hind.ee and Kainos.lt Especially useful for those who want to sell their products in Lithuania or Estonia.
Other e-commerce enhancements
- Various usability improvements in the reviews system functionality, including the ability to set the interval for sending review request emails.
- Collapsible sidebar categories in the store view. Previously, all categories were always expanded, which could create a cluttered appearance, especially in stores with many categories and subcategories. Now, they will look more organized and tidy.
- Product images in the order manager and order view. A much-requested enhancement that will help you more easily and quickly identify which product was purchased.
- Improvements to printing shipping labels and enhanced support for specific label printers.
Design and accessibility
We've made significant strides in design and overall functionality, enhancing both quality and usability by implementing not only popular requests but also genuinely useful improvements.
Two new content block types
Now, when designing your website or online store on the Mozello platform, you can utilize two new types of content blocks.
Accordion block
The Accordion Block offers organizing content into collapsible sections, improving the user experience on your website. This block helps manage large amounts of information in a compact and accessible format, making it easier for visitors to find important details without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, the Accordion Block can contribute to a cleaner, more dynamic, and modern design.
Moreover, the Mozello Accordion Block allows for personalization, enabling you to customize not only the text size but also the type. For example, you can use Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, Normal Paragraph, or link styles for headings.
Table block
This block is especially useful for creating clear and organized pricing or offer sections on your website. It's ideal for restaurant menus or service price lists. However, due to its customization options, it can also be used for other purposes.
Improved speed for Mozello websites and online stores
We've optimized the platform to enable faster page loading for all Mozello websites, with a 10 to 30% improvement in performance tests. This can positively impact your SEO ranking. Additionally, we've reduced content layout shifts during page loading, improving the visitor experience and potentially boosting your SEO ranking.
Important to note: This improvement is only available for websites and stores using the new system designs introduced in 2023. No action is required for Mozello customers who adopted the new designs after their release.

Accessibility features implemented
Starting in 2025, businesses with more than 9 employees or a turnover of 2 million euros will be required to ensure accessibility in their online stores so that people with disabilities, such as those who are blind, visually impaired, or have mobility issues, can use the online store.
We have implemented all the necessary accessibility features:
- The ability to zoom content using browser functions
- Navigation using only the keyboard
- Compatibility with assistive technologies like screen readers
- A "Skip to main content" function, activated by pressing the Tab key for the first time
- Compatibility with forced color modes if supported by the browser (e.g., Firefox) or platform (e.g., Windows)
Accessibility tool
We've introduced a new Accessibility Tool that can be enabled by any Mozello website or online store owner. This tool will appear as an icon in the main menu of the page and open an accessibility control panel that provides the following functionalities:
- The ability to zoom (enlarge) content without relying on browser controls
- High contrast modes, independent of browser settings
Important to note: This improvement is only available for websites and stores using the new system designs introduced in 2023. No action is required for Mozello customers who adopted the new designs after their release.

“Back to top” application
Under the "Extras" section, you can now enable an application that adds a "Back to Top" button to your website or online store. By clicking this button, visitors will be instantly taken back to the top of the page.
This feature is especially valuable for pages with extensive content, as it saves visitors from having to scroll all the way back to the top with just one click.
API and technologies
We've made improvements to the API, allowing for better integration with Mozello. The API functionality enables developers of other platforms and users of various external systems to create their integrations with Mozello. You can view the list of existing integrations here.
Key improvements:
- The ability to add product images via API
- Integration with credit platforms that allow displaying monthly payments directly with the product and in the shopping cart. Currently, this functionality is provided for Klarna and Klix integrations. For other similar platforms, additional programming may be required, or you, as a client, should contact your chosen platform to inquire about possible integration.
- An application update mechanism that makes it easier to perform updates for those who create their applications on the Mozello platform.
Conclusion
In addition to all the previously mentioned improvements and new features, we've implemented over 100 various minor enhancements and bug fixes.
Looking ahead, we plan to continue improving the store's functionality and design options, gradually introducing features and integrations most requested by Mozello users.
We want to let you in on a little secret: a reservation system is currently in development!
This system will allow for the automation of reservations for hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, service providers, event organizers, equipment rental companies, and other businesses that require online booking. The system is expected to integrate with the existing online store and web form functionalities, enabling the complete automation of service reservations and online payment processes.
